The lobby and hallways are beautiful and the rooms at first glance are great, however that is where it ends. The air conditioner did not work properly; the room was warm and stuffy. Mold on the ceilings, the bathroom fixtures were old and pitted, cracks and gaps in the caulking. Most important the sanitation grade is 90.5%. I will not eat in and establishment with that grade and had I not needed a place to stay due to construction in my home, I would not have stayed there. I am from this city and will no longer recommend this hotel. The Hampton is just as nice, cleaner and cheaper.

I spent one night here to attend a night-time event in the New Bern Convention Center. The staff was very proficient and friendly, the room was clean and well organized, and the location on the water was easy to find with a great view out the window. The convention center is a short walk from the hotel, and although there was a Sheraton next to the convention hall it had bad reviews on the Internet. If I ever have business in New Bern again I will be staying at the Comfort Suites.

Traveled alone, felt very safe. Room was very clean except the balcony windows. Bugs were terrible outside so I would like to have been able to see better from inside the room. Will visit again.

We used the Comfort Suites for a business trip. We had checked the cost of other rooms. If you need to be near convention center, I highly recommend the Comfort Suites. Within walking distance to the convention center as well as great restaurants.The staff was very courteous and friendly. The double room with partial room divider was a little bigger than a normal room, which gave us some extra space.I enjoyed waking up and setting on the balcony looking at the river, it was a beautiful view. I would highly recommend the Comfort Suite in New Bern, NC.
