We traveled with our 9 month old and stayed in a renovated partial ocean front room in the ocean tower. Lovely room, enjoyed waking up to the sound of the ocean. We enjoyed it so much we stayed 2 extra days! Location is prefect as beach is right outside. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the lei-making class they also have hula and ukele classes. The renovations didn't get in the way of us having a good time. Shore bird breakfast great, wish they would have changed the spread as it was the same everyday. Jamba juice & Starbucks inside the hotel also other convenience stores within walking distance. Would stay again if we were to go back to HI.

Overall, the experience was great! The Outrigger Reef Hotel was excellent! The room was excellent! The staff was excellent! The dining was excellent! We couldn't have had a better experience. If we ever get the chance to go back to Hawaii, The Outriigger Reef will definately be one of our choices of hotels to stay at.

What a great hotel! Loved the in room check in - and we had an internet deal for free parking (a MUST at Honolulu). We were in the Ocean tower on the 10th floor (Penthouse). Everything was perfect. Staff was always prompt (printing maps - remembering my name). Everything you need is close to this hotel. Great shops, great resturants - the BEACH is out the backdoor! The room was a little warm even with the thermostat turned all the way down (probably should have called maintenance). We wish the pool would have been chlorine and not salt water, but the pool was always the perfect temp and clean. We enjoyed the wedding vow renewal and the lei making classes. The staff was always friendly and smiling. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. The construction was noticable during the day but stopped on time and was never an inconvenience. The room was clean and the beds comfy. We would come back in a heartbeat.

For the money you can't beat it. Was there during construction but it wasn't really a bother. The pool was great and the view from the beach down to Diamond Head was beautiful. The sunsets were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also stayed at a fancier place up the street a ways and like the Outrigger Reef better. Less congested and very easy to use the pool and facilities. Plus theres a Starbucks in the lobby. All in all a great place and would stay there again.

Stayed during renovation and wasn't that bad. only went on during the day when we were gone. beautiful lobby with shops and 3 restrants with 2 bars. lobby totally open walk from carpet onto the sand just amazing! had a wonderful time would stay there again for sure!!!
