This was our second time at the Reef, the first was 10 years ago. The room renovation was nice and the beds were very comfortable. We traveled with two young children and stayed in a suite. It was very spacious, bigger than standard Embassy Suites suites. All services were good, the front desk was very helpful when we checked in. She allowed us to look at two different rooms and choose which would be best for our family. The pool is great and we could always find a place to sit any time of the day. Appetizers at the pool restaurant are especially good. We had free breakfast at the Shore Bird, the view is a great way to start a day, the food was fine -- typical breakfast buffet. I wouldn't have paid for breakfast each morning.
Overall we are happy and would stay here again.

We are a 28 year old married couple we went for our anniversary . We did a lot of research we LOVED this hotel. its at a more secluded part of waikiki beach. It was beautiful and remodeled and very clean! there was a starbucks downstairs you could eat breakfast at or 2 restaurants . The Shorebird is right on the ocean and very reasonable to eat at. The other restaurant is by the pool and their breakfast is good too but a little pricey. Everyone there is so nice and we had the best time. It was awesome having that hospitality room b/c our flight wasnt until 9:30pm so we were able to swim in the ocean and they let us take a shower before our flight. We purchased a moderate room online then asked for an upgrade when we got there...they gave us the city room for no charge and it overlooked the pool and you turned your head to the right and there was the ocean. It was perfect and very reasonable. Everything is very relaxing and tranquil here. We walked down to hilton hawaiian village and Im so glad we didnt stay there that place was a ZOO and its really far to walk to the beach from that hotel. This hotel is literally 20 steps away from the ocean. Im very pleased with our pick I hope you find this review helpful.

The best thing the Outrigger has going for it is location, location, location. Our room was pretty small for four people--our children are college students and we found the space a little cozy. But it did have two beds and a pull-out couch. Very clean. It was a partial ocean view and we did have a nice balcony view of the water. No upgrades were offered at check-in, and the reservation was to include breakfast. However, we only got breakfast for two and they would not upgrade to four even though we paid for four people in the room. We were able to use more than two breakfast tickets a day, so we basically got breakfast free two out of the four days for our entire family. We are at all three restaurants--Dukes, Hula Grill and Chucks--all were very good. The property is directly across the street from the International Market and right on Waikiki.

This hotel is in a great location. There are so many conveniences within walking distance. Found some great deals at International Market place. You can get tours that will pick you up infront of your hotel or a near by hotel due to construction. We got a free upgrade and had a room with a pool view and to the right a ocean view. Right in Wakiki Beach off the hotel. Rooms were very nicely equipped.

Outrigger Reef was right on the beach and was close to great shopping areas and bus routes. It included an activities desk where we could book tours easily. The hotel service was excellent and the rooms had many extras, very beautiful! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I had ever slept on. The room was spacious and had a good sized balcony with a partial ocean view. Since our return flight was late at night, we were able to use all the hotel facilities after checking out and could check our luggage and were able to use a hospitality room for 30 minutes so we could wash off the sand before leaving for the airport. There were also coupons available for discounts on meals and our package included free breakfast buffets.
