We only stayed 2 nights here. It is a great location although you never have to leave the property. There is good food, drinks, pools, shops, and the beach just steps away. My son loved roasting marshmellows at the fire pit!

We were very impressed! Beautiful view of the ocean, grounds were gorgeous, easy access to the beach, delightful shops, delicious restaurants. Everything you need is right on the premises, and a short walk away from the pier and downtown shops. We had a blast!

Stayed 3 days on business

Hotel is extremely well done and attractive. Staff is professional, enthusiastic and courteous. Always cabs available day or night. Internet access is a bit pricey but works well and there were only daily and weekly rates for it. That is counteracted by the fact that it is ridiculously easy to connect and purchase so I am still satisfied with it. My only complain was that room service knocked even though I put out the privacy card in the key slot then took the card so that I could not waive housekeeping again. This is not a big deal as all I had to have done was notify the front desk and it would have been handled so again it was really not a problem in the scheme of things. This hotel is very well run and all services and amenities are professionally managed. I would have no problem whatsoever staying here again and in all likelihood will.

Great Vacation!

We went here on a family vacation with 3 children, ages 9, 13 and 17. The hotel was beautiful wi th many beautiful courtyards. We all loved the pool. It was not difficult to get lounge chairs. My youngest loved that the hotel provided noodles, kick boards and beach balls for the pool. She also loved the movie night in the pool. My kids loved the firepits and smores at night. It was really great to have the bridge to the beach. The housekeeping did a very nice job even lining up our shoes, snacks and toiletries! We ate twice at Pete's grill but have to say the concensus was the food wasn't very good and it was pricey. The only complaints we had was the $25 a day valet fee plus tipping every time you retrieve your car and that the outside windows on the hotel (the ones in the hallway that face the streets) were absolutely filthy and full of spiderwebs. Also, unlike the photos on the website you really cannot see the mountains. The photos make you think they are right behind the hotel. They are very far away and the haze makes it so that you cannot even see them. We would definitely stay again. Biggest bargain was the pizza for $2 a slice. We got that carryout to eat by the pool instead of the very expensive food they sell at the pool.

The resort was beautiful. Everyone was very friendly. They appear to cater to each member of the family. They have day camps for kids. The meal choices for them was good and the price was just right. The fitness center was equipped very nicely. It is attached to the spa, which you may use. The spa facilities were relaxing. We will definitely be making this our new place to stay while in Southern Calif. Oh! the kids loved the Smores they got to make by the pool.
