This was a very nice hotel for the price. It was CLEAN and not smelly like some other places I've stayed. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice. Decent sized room. Shower and bathroom were clean with nice fluffly towels. There was a nice free breakfast included. Not some lame "continental" breakfast. This one had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, orange juice, and apple juice. There were waffles you made yourself, hard boiled eggs, package oatmeal, 3 types of cereal, yogurt, fresh oranges and bananas. More than enough to eat with plenty of seating. Staff was very nice,too. Included was free parking. Several local restaurants nearby and a grocery store and other shops across the street. Very easy to locate, just off the freeway. I would definitely stay again.

We are from Canada and only stayed two nights on our way home from wintering in Arizona. We wanted to see San Louis Obispo because we have read about it in Sue Graftons books and were curious. We very much liked the town and Pismo Beach and may return some time for a longer stay.

Check in desk extremely pleasant; good customer relations. The room was clean, nicely decorated. The beds were very, very good! The "free" breakfast was weak, but I didn't book at this hotel because of the "free" breakfast. Note to Royal Oak: It would behoove you (in my humble estimation) to serve the cereal and fruit (as you did), and then just merely include nice pastries. You had muffins, but just add others. Dump the toast, and eliminate the hard-boiled egg!!!!!!!!!!

We needed a clean and inexpensive hotel for a short family vacation. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. They had a nice continental breakfast as well. Would definitely stay there again.

Pictures on this web site do not do this hotel justice. Rooms are beautifully modern, warmly decorated and hotel conveniently located to all area attractions.
