Great Hotel - Would Definitely Return

Me and my husband and our young children (10, 6, 3) stayed three nights. I was a little worried about booking online, but this hotel was CLEAN. Don't let its age fool you. It was old, but it was very clean. The morning breakfast was a full hot meal including eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The food had great flavor and best of all it was free. The staff were so friendly and they tried hard to help us with any needs (we forgot 2 toothbrushes) and even offered advice and coupons for the local hot spots. Never used the pool, since we went to SeaWorld, but I saw the pool, and the water looked clean. We would be gone all day, and when we returned, we had all fresh towels, all fresh soaps, all fresh linens, and the bathroom had definitely been SCRUBBED. There was not cutting corners, this housekeeping staff was top notch. A+++

Will not return to this hotel ever

The pool was a joke it was so small and dirty; The breakfast was also poor the only thing good was the coffee.

Best hotel for the money

What can I say. For the money you can not find a better place to stay in San Antonio. Although about a mile and a half away from the riverwalk the ride there was quick and without incidents every day. Rooms were clean and the air work perfectly. The complementary breakfast was excellent, eggs to order, biscuits and gravy, fruits, muffins, sausages, bacon, ham, breakfast burritos, coffee, tea, cereal what else can you ask for. The complementary evenning get together was not bad either, free budlight, wine and red wine, finger foods, meatballs, nachos with cheese, peanuts, etc..some pwople complained about a musty smell, the only thing I could smell was the carpet fresh :) The rooms were cleaned and made everyday. Oh I forgot there is also a nice swimming pool although a little small it was much smaller than my brother in laws pool at the Westin (219 a night ouch). If you want to spend your time in your hotel room and be extra close to the river walk then this is not your hotel however if you want to stay at a clean, nice, affordable and overall very very nice hotel and don't mind driving the 5 minutes to downtown then this is definitely your hotel. I spent 4 nights there and my total bill was a whopping $* my borther in law paid $* plus $15.00 for parking a day, oh I forgot to mention the parking is free at the Antonian 95% of the hotels close to the riverwalk or the alamo charge you extra for parking so you do the math. I will definitely stay there the next time I visit San Antonio.

breakfast was served for free mind you, but the just pancakes and some omlett cassarole, and breakfast tacos. Which was fine, except they cooked it on a small griddle and it didn't look clean to me. the internet didn't work in our room. it was quiet, but in a bad part of town. high maintenance people shouldn't bother w/ this one. But if you are only sleeping, it's fine.
