Great Experience

The hotel was very clean and the hotel personnel were very kind, polite & helpful. The rooms were a whole lot better than the rooms we had in Las Vegas, and the housekeeping crew were excellent. The pool & jacuzzi were an excellent place to hang out because the weather was fine, and the only drawback I saw to the pool was that it needed to be cleaned every morning before hotel guest embarked on using it...there were leaves and dead bees in the pool and had they had a net to pull that stuff out, it would have been much better, but the jacuzzi was excellent, that's where we spent most of our time. Overall, for the price of this hotel and the good hospitality included, I would totally stay here again & again, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pasadena, CA.

Adequate but not great

The room was adequate for sleeping at night. However, the room we were given faced a wall---no view whatsoever. There was a futon sofa (?!) as well as the king size bed, though one leg was broken. The hair dryer only worked sporadically and looked like a fire hazard, as the plug was cracked. However, one nice perk was an in-room safe with a combination set by the guest. We were able to lock my son's Netbook inside each time we went out, so we didn't have to worry about leaving it in the room. The bed was comfortable and seemed clean, and room cleaning was prompt. Extra touches were towels and tissues folded into fans (though no little animals, etc.). Just don't expect much from the cable service: every station was so snowy it was like watching analog TV with broken rabbit ears. A/C worked well, and the bathroom actually had a full size tub. The staff was very nice, and a continental breakfast was provided (though we ate out). Small pool and spa are also available; key is available at the office. Ample parking is also available, though be aware the location is about ten minutes east of Old Town Pasadena (looks closer on the map). Overall, if you are looking for a place to sleep and take a shower, it's a decent place to stay.

Had a very nice stay at this hotel. GREAT bed, great hot shower, great cable TV, very very clean. Good fresh breakfast snack and the staff was very polite and helpful. For the money you can't beat it no way!

Stay Elsewhere

This hotel is in a okay neighborhood, easy to find and close to freeway access. However.... the photos are VERY decieving! The bathroom smelt of strong bleach, the room was very stuffy and smelt of smoke even though it was non-smoking, the pool was closed and it was super hot in pasadena, the comforter's threads were sticking out everywhere, part of the molding on the wall was comming off, the fridge was dirty on the inside, the microwave was missing the round glass piece and was stained.... the breakfast was very simple. Coffee, juice, pastry, milk and cereal. There was some sorta bug that my son found in the shower when he got in and I ended up getting a cold... can't help but wonder if it's somthing from the room. The staff is nice though.... but that doesn't make up for a bad room.

I have stayed at numerous hotels and I have NEVER been charged for a late check out time.
