Nice location to do everything in St. Louis. The rooms are clean but small. There was 2 adults and 2 childeren in the 2 queen bed room and it was way too small. The pool was very cold. The front desk would not turn it up due to health regulations?? Breakfast area was small and crowded.

We stayed two nights to do three days of shopping and theater. This is a no-frills Ramada, but that was just what we wanted. We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Security is good, we felt comfortable and safe at all hours. We were a bit confused by the construction across the street, but it was a good place to stay. Continental breakfast included was a big plus for us--got us going much faster. Applebees right next door was convenient.
Spoiled by plumbing noises...

We were quite OK with this hotel, until at 11pm at night, people in the upstairs room had a shower...at which time, the plumbing made a continuous roaring noise, so loud that we could no longer hear the TV. When I called the front desk to complain, the receptionist promptly came to our room, she heard the noise, and matter of factly said "Oh yes, that's the shower upsatirs" Thank goodness they didn't shower at 5am! We won't stay there again because of this noise, quite literally the loudest noise I've heard in a hotel room, out of 300 or more I have stayed in.
We won't go back

We stayed for four nights and weren't very impressed. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean. We checked in and found one of the trash cans was overflowing with trash left behind by the previous occupants. There was no bedding for the pull out sofa (had to request it from front desk). The beds weren't made every day and it was obvious that they weren't cleaning the bathroom at all. The towels were stained and frayed and the comforter had a cigarette burn. The lone computer in the lobby was "temporarily out of service" during our entire stay. Breakfast was cheap cheap continental - cold biscuits, oatmeal, donuts, cereal, yogurt, frozen waffles, bagels. And there was always a line to use the 2-slice toaster. Seriously, Ramada, you couldn't spring for the 4-slicer?
In short, it was like staying at a nice Motel 6. They need to spend some money on linens, better maid service, and a decent breakfast. Until then, we won't be back.
Pet owners: they do take pets with a $10 surcharge, which I'm told is pretty reasonable for that area.
Great Location for a St Louis weekend

This is a great place if you are looking to see St Louis but you don't want to stay in St Louis. Very close to Grants Farm, Anheiser Brewery, Easy access to arch and Metrolink. My only caution is if you are traveling with kids and looking for a suite for a little privacy, you won't get it here. I expected a wall and a door with a suite, but the only divider is a kitchenette without a back splash. There is a national chain casual restaraunt next door that is an easy walk without crossing a major road. Big plus. Rooms were clean, but towel quantities were skimpy, although the desk was very polite and quick to hand out extras on request.
