My fiance, his son, and I were in need of an inexpensive room to to lay our heads, at the end of the day, and have a decent place to shower in the morning. The Red Roof worked out just fine for that. We didn't have to break the bank and we were able to get a good night's sleep. There was a small disturbance that happened in the middle of the night with a group of young adults in another room, but it was quickly handled by the on-site staff and local authorities. I appreciated the prompt response. Otherwise, the front desk clerks we encountered, in the evening and the morning, were courteous and helpful. The morning desk clerk was even helpful in pointing us in the direction of a great local diner that served a good breakfast and a nice cup of coffee. The only aspect that I wasn't completely pleased with was the cleanliness of the room. It was apparent that their cleaning staff forgot to clean under the beds, since we found some trash left behind while checking the room before we left for any belongings we may have forgotten.

I was looking for a place to sleep for a few hour that did not cost a lot of money. I was extremely pleased with the room. The bed and linens were probably the most comfortable I have slept in except for my own bed. I will use the Red Roof again.

Though the appearance of the motel from the outside was anything but special, the desk staff were efficient and pleasant, the room was quite clean, the bed was comfortable, the towels very good, the water not hard, and overall the room was great with respect to value for the money. I would definitely stay there again when I go to visit relatives in Urbana.

The room is inexpensive but you definitely get what you pay for. The fiberglass in our shower broke while we were there and despite our calls they wouldn't fix it. The rooms were noisy. And when our third person arrived at a later date, they lost the record of her arrival and wouldn't issue her a key. Good location but not much else to brag about.
