I stayed at NY Helmsley for 4 night with my mum and brother and We loved it. It has nice rooms, beautiful bathrooms and the location is pretty good. It is maybe 25 min walking from Time Square, and 5 min from the Gran Central Station. The only advice is not to walk alone on the street after 1-2 am because gets a bit doggy!! Also, We had a little problem with the room key that was electronic, so it would be disactivated all the time (they said becuase problably it was close to cell phones in the pocket)!! But overall, I totally recommend this hotel for a weekend or a long stay in NYC.

Our stay at the Helmsey NY in Midtown was incredibly accommodating, helpful and enjoyable. Upon arrival we were greeted, provided an upgrade in room at no charge, provided with additional amenties - in room internet and movies - subway maps, restaurant info and lots of help with service support whenever we needed it in an effeicient, timely and polite manner. Overall a great service experience.

Overall, great location, room was nice, Hotel staff helpful. Would stay there again. Good price for weekend stay.

Hotel is clean (rooms too) and the staff are very friendly. Had a bit of difficulty with the new flat screen TV system but the maintenance crew was on it quickly. Room service is fast and food was really good - just a bit pricey - I would stay here again (but bring my own coffee maker)

The New York Helmsley was a delight as the staff was welcoming, responsive and efficient. We were given a marvelous room with an exceptional view, prompt maid service, good elevator service as we were on the 36th floor and we found the employees very gracious.
