I'd been here before as well as a couple of other motels and hotels in the area. The summer months in Port Angeles are difficult to find rooms. I go to the Olympic Peninsula every other to hike and visit crescent lake and hurricane ridge. The Motel is very good value. It's more like a Hotel than a Motel. If you visit the city here you'll see what I mean. Motel's here really look run down and poorly maintained. They appeared to have gone under new ownership recently as the Lobby is renovated and so was the room I stayed in on the 2nd floor. I stayed on the side facing the main highway and didn't hear traffic. It's pretty quiet in this area at night.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had Satellite TV with HBO, NFL, Golf and the SPEED channel. The manager must really likes sports. I loved having the Golf channel to watch the US Open this past weekend. Yeah, I should have gone hiking like I went there for.. but it was Tiger man!!
I woke up to breakfast with Hot make your own wafflesl. They had muffins, a variety of cereals, juices, oatmeal, milk and toast.

My wife and I with our 2 kids went to Crescent Lake for the first time. We decided to spend a few days in and around Port Angeles. We stayed at the super8 Port Angeles. It was great. They put me in a 2nd floor room. The furniture was new and the whole place felt pretty comfortable.
We woke up to breakfast the next day and had hot waffles, banana nut oatmeal, orange juice and coffee. Well, the coffee was for my wife and I.. of course. The kids loved it. My son Tyler enjoyed watching me make each waffle. I couldn't believe he finished the whole thing.
I would definitely stay here again. Behind the Super8 is the Best Western which is nicer, but I didn't want to spend another $40 dollars. I stopped in there too. They charge for breakfast and the front desk person made it seem as though she was doing me a favor by talking to her. Won't go there.
My stay was so fun. We went to Hurricane hill and went to the rainforest on the west tip of the Olympic Forest. I'll definitely go back to the Super8 and to visit the area again.
