Description: Caesars Palace is on the boardwalk and is in a most noticeable area, nearby the Trump Tower and Ballys. I came from New York and there are frequent buses from the Port Authority bus station, fares are variable but are round $25 with a gambling token. The bus will usually pull up at a range of casinos and Caesars is usually one that it stops at.
The hotel and casino is grand, it reminds you of Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, however it is on a much lower scale. Atlantic city is not Vegas but there are good things to do. Meals cost a fortune, however i still recommend brunch at the buffet and perhaps let that last you all day long.
The casino is massive and busy and has lots of table games, slots and several rooms. Make sure you get a total rewards card as it often gives you comps. Recently I got a comp for a full week at Caesar's which Im going to use in March of this year. The decor in the hotel is nice and the rooms are pleasant. I had a luxury room which faced onto the boardwalk and had a spectacular view.
Drinks are free when youre playing, you just tip a dollar or so. However i noticed that there isnt much entertainment as in Vegas. Late at night, unlike Vegas you notice that people go back to their rooms.
The casino is good but expensive. I would avoid the slots, even though I won some money, it makes you spend a lot more than you would be able to afford. I didnt like their sports book which demanded a £10 minimum bet, as i do triffectas it would have been of no use to me.
If youre on a budget i would suggest going to the many shops and 7 11s on the boardwalk for something to eat, or if youre feeling adventurous go into the city centre, which is quite an eye opening experience, however i wouldnt recommend this at night.
Atlantic city at Caesars is good but not Vegas. If youre in AC I would give it a try.
