Checked into the hotel and checked right out

Upon pulling into the hotel we were shocked it was a Howard Johnson- It looked runned down. The food is not in the hotel- it is a small strip mall in-front. We checked into our room and went up. We were told it was a queen bed and pull out couch. The bed was a full size bed and the couch was the size of a twin bed. The room was dingy and dark and dirty, I went into the bathroom, saw roaches and immediately checked out. I have never, ever been in a hotel like that. I felt unsafe and dirty. We wound up checking into the another hotel down the road- which was BEAUTIFUL and a great deal for our money.
Not again unless there is no other choice

Check in was ok. Down hill from there. For the price, the room is functional, however, for those that like TV, get ready for maybe 10 stations. If you like sports, no ESPN. Something called ComCast, which is ESPN Ultra Lite. There is a choice between having the room hot, or cool. You must continually turn the heat on an off. No fitted sheets on the bed, and the towel supply was, well, scimpy. We lost a TV station, and when we called the front desk, the clerk said, "We don't have that station". On replying I had just watched it, she replied" Maybe it's the "sattaealight". That the best spelling I can give the word used. The station came back on later. However, it is close to places to dine, and my wife said the Water Park was great. So, if you only want a place to sleep, it will probably work.
