Good Hotel, Great Location

Quote: The hotel was pretty good. As mentioned in other reviews you do have to pay for parking and it is pretty difficult to find the enterance if coming via a taxi. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and other restaraunts and bars. We would defintly... Read the full Marriott BeachPlace Towers review

Quote: I hated the experience. The staff is nasty and impersonal. I arrived at 11:00PM to leave at 8:30AM : I prepaid by Travel online - +/- * The hotel put 2 holds on my card : $* and $* and no explanation was given to me at the time. When requesting... Great location but....

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • October 24, 2008
Quote: The hotel was located right across form the beach and we were on the bay side which actually had a beautiful view as well. The elevators took forever and the rooms were not restocked at night. It was also quite noisy as we were near the elevator,... Read the full Marriott BeachPlace Towers review

Not what I expect of a Marriott

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • May 22, 2008
Quote: The public spaces in the hotel were OK but the room fell far short of what I expect of a Marriott, more of an Econolodge level of quality and service. I understand that the hotel is under renovation so I'll give them a break on the scuffed-up walls... Read the full Marriott BeachPlace Towers review

Quote: The elevators were so slow! It took up to 20 minutes to access the elevator and then it was crammed full, mostly of the hotel staff. I once had to wait for 4 stops before there was room in the elevator. The staff rushed in before guests, then... Read the full Marriott BeachPlace Towers review

Quote: Great location, but hard to find from the street. I was lost for a short while. There was plenty of dining options thanks to the outdoor mall. Rooms were a little out dated. Everything even internet access was an additional cost.

Quote: Rooms were big with balcony, front desk staff very attentive and right across from the beach. Just not that the beach chairs on the beach cost $10 each, but hotel does provide beach towels.
