There was a "continental plus" breakfast available each morning, with coffee and juice, croissants, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt, and cereal. Breakfast is served in the "Musketeer's Cave" in the basement. We finally asked about the name when we checked out, and it turns out the Musketeers really did meet there in days past. The cave was once connected to the Louvre by secret passage, and it held a major printing press during the Revolution. Apparently, it was supposed to be the setting for La Boheme. (Glad we asked!)
From journal Paris for a weekend? In JANUARY?!?
