Wonderful Inn

We LOVED this inn - the room was BEAUTIFUL! Great breakfast! Great location! We would stay there again in a heartbeat! They were even nice enough to let us drop off our luggage for them to store a week later so we could do more touring!!!

Much better deals in the area.

My wife and I decided to stay somewhere different in Charleston for a Valentine's Day getaway. We had never stayed at the Ansonborough, and thought we'd give it a shot. It was horrible. First, the room we got was OK, but the bathroom was not as they described - at all. The hotel staff wasn't the friendliest, and the beer cans left in the hall weren't something I expected to see. The rooftop bar??? Non-existent. Just a couple of beams showing the skeleton of where is used to be. We decided to upgrade rooms to try to make ourselves happier. The room was very nice - bathroom was as the other was advertised, but waking up to the sound of construction in the room next to us was not expected. Look, maybe this hotel will be a great find one day, but there is no way you should spend the money on this place now. There are much nicer hotels and better deals in Charleston. Stay away from here.

Best Deal in Charleston!

As a frequent visitor, I rate this hotel is the best value for the price of any hotel in Charleston. It is better than most area hotels priced twice as much. You will not be disappointed!

I spent four nights at the inn on my recent vacation. The rooms were excellent. They were very spacious and clean. The Ansonborough Inn far exceeded my expectations and is in a great location for exploring downtown Charleston. I highly recommend this Inn.

Being from Charleston I know the beauty of the old south, but this was exceptional. The room was nothing I expected, beyond words! The staff was wonderful. Can't beat it!
