Sutton Place in Chicago

  • July 18, 2008
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
This is a lovely hotel. The location, close to all the quaint restaurants and shops on Rush Street AND the big attractions of Michigan Avenue and downtown Chicago, make it a sure thing. The hotel is top-quality and not part of the "big hotel" situation caused by the massive Chicago conventions. We went to family wedding events at the Hyatt and Intercontinental, but our hotel was the best of all!

I love this place. Service is smart and friendly, location is perfect if you are hungry every three hours. Highly recommend. Also loved the parking and breakfast deal from travel website.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the low key elegance and charm of Sutton Place. The staff was professional and very friendly. Maid service twice daily was prompt and very efficient! Modern rooms and lobby. The bed and pillows were perfect. The bathroom was large and clean with drawers to put things in. Great shower and huge tub. Great selection of pay movies!!! Quiet hotel with tons of action right across the street. The Mex Whiskey bar in te lobby was always hopping and fun!

We were thrilled w/ the location of this hotel..steps from the Mag. Mile, right on Rush Street w/ all it's great restaurants and booming nightlife. A small part was next to the hotel, where you could sit at night w/ your Latte and watch all the people go by. It was a great location. The rooms were average size w/ nice, large bathrooms. Only negative- the towels are like sandpaper. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
