Horrible Service

Even if I overlook the condition of the hotel since I assume they could be still recovering from Hurricane Ike (molding and carpet missing, salt between window panes, wallpaper messed up) I have never had such bad housekeeping service. Coffee and cups and ice bucket liners were never replaced during our 6 day stay. Calls to the front desk were generally not responded to. We had to replace the items our selves. One day, dirty towels from the floor of the bathroom were picked up and re-hung on towel racks by housekeeping. Other days towels were taken and not replaced. The icing on the cake was the note left by housekeeping that said "If you want your room cleaned do not mess up the sheets". (note: there was a drop of blood) "We change the sheets every other day. If you get blood on the sheets, remove them yourself!!!" I guess these people forget that people are sleeping on their sheets. What are they being paid for if not to clean. If they are so sensitive to soiled sheets they should wear gloves or find a different line of work.
I suppose with the high demand for rooms in Beaumont because of all the out of town workers doing cleanup and repair after the hurricane, this hotel can afford to provide substandard service. They will be in for a harsh awakening after the workers checkout and they have to compete for guests. I will never stay there again and I recommend no one else do so.
