Good place to stay at if you are on a business trip and don't want to spend a lot of money. Rooms are small but what else do you need from a nice clean hotel.. Just a clean room to come home to with a good clean shower, good water pressure. The only thing that I was not impressed with was the size of the bed. My feet was hanging out and I am hardly 6 feet tall.. the pillows and comforter were magnificent. The breakfast was beautiful. ( try to negotiate to get a deal that includes BF other wise still not too expensive.. It was like HK$* per person and it was all you eat buffet with excellent coffee.
Staff were very nice and responsive to guest needs.
Overall I would definitely stay there again. Not recommended for family since the rooms are too small and i doubt if there is any connecting rooms since there are non in Asia that I know of..

I had such a good impression last time I stayed over on July 1st 2007 (10th anniv Handover to China) when Charterhouse put me up on 20th flr. this time, I was given a room on 15th flr; single bed which was smaller than my days in bootcamp. That French hotel chain had a bigger bed & grr88 harbour view! complimentary Newsweek was staly April 2007 issue & toilet had sediments; must be last flushed in April too. also, a good 10 mins walk to Wan Chai MTR station. very bad value for $ this trip.

I had a very nice stay at The Charterhouse. I was very surprised when my taxi pulled up. Being my first time to Hong Kong or any part asia I was very happy to be staying at the Charterhouse. Great location and the staff was very helpful. They even upgraded my room to a deluxe room ree of charge for my whole 10 day stay. I will be back and when I do I will stay at the Charterhouse Hotel again.

you get what you paid for! more spacious, with all the little amenities you need sans toothbrush & comb, though. used to stay at a French hotel chain nearby; but rooms too small. you pay more @ C.house; but less on a per sq foot basis. close to Thai rest; which always helps. Ham, beef, pork chop, sausage, fried egg, steam rice, BIG breakfast @ Cafe (off hotel premises) near by for only HK$40! the only thing amiss is the view of HK Harbour @ C.House, which that French hotel chain offers (wonderful lite show @ nite); but nothing else.
