A Night at the Doubletree

We used Hilton points to pay for our oceanside room with a nice view of the beach and the hotel pool, below our balcony.

The place was well kept up and the staff was friendly. We asked at the front desk for a dinner recommendation and were referred to the same restaurant that a friend had mentioned (Grills) and it was a great meal.

This hotel is very clean, beds very comfortable. Good access to beach. Pool is small but very clean and warm. Only complaint, last night heard people in room close to us, walls thin. Would stay again.

Family vacation - May 2008

Most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in. I'm a light sleeper. The whole family agreed these were comfortable beds. We enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies on check in. Location right on beach made enjoying the ocean easy. Pool was fine for the one time we used it. We loved the larger than usual hotel size refrigerator. There's a Publix grocery store literally across the street where we picked up drinks & snacks. Nice table & desk in the room to eat breakfast on. Staff was helpful, but could have been more knowledgeable on local attractions to see or how to get there. Seemed to be more business focused in this manner. Although they did direct us to the local visitor information center. During our 3 day stay the Coke vending machines were out of order on all the floors I tried.

Loved the beach

Access to the beach is great and lounge chairs and beach umbrellas are available for rent. The bed, pillows, and bedding are very comfortable. The restaurant was better than most Hotel restaurants. We stayed on the Executive Floor and it had a hospitality room where we could get an expanded continental breakfast and an evening cocktail during convenient hours, at no additional cost. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great Value, convenient, clean, Best beds in the world!

View of ocean was wonderful, one review stated you had to turn your head! Big deal. Great place for kids. Free internet access, (not found in a higher priced 4 star we stayed in the last 3 days), no structured activities not a problem as we came to entertain ourselves! We could see the Atlantic and the Banana River from our balcony. The hotel was clean the housekeeping was awesome. The bed --if I was a writer I would write a song about the bed best ever and everyone had two pillows! No, none, nada complaints. And to boot you get a warm cookie when you check in!
