Ocean or Air Conditioning View?

If your room is 201 to 205 you will be looking at the rusted AC units of the Double Tree. Management did not care about my concern because they had my money for the whole trip (Travelocity Booked). They never called back to try to make other accomodations. Not only was it visually disturbing, but it also was noisy with the units going on and off. The rest of the hotel was okay. Not centrally located to good restaurants. It was steps to the beach, and that made it okay.

Worst. Stay.Ever

On first night of my stay I slipped and fell in the shower, which had no safety mat. Staff offered to move me to a different room, but wouldn't say if that room had a safe shower. Housekeeping installed a thin, rubber, suction mat that was not much safer and then removed it the next day. When I called to ask for a new mat, the woman in housekeeping argued with me and insisted the mat was there. Again, offered to move me to a new room, on the last night of my stay, but couldn't promise the new room would have a safe shower. Finally, a worker came up an installed an adhesive mat. My injuries included bruised ribs and muscle pulls and as I was staying at this hotel to attend a funeral it made the trip much more stressful. I will never use a Double Tree hotel again and will reconsider staying at any Hilton brand hotel because of this experience.

Good stay arrived to the hotel early and was able to check in early. Our key stopped working on the second time we used it. I went down and they replaced the key without any problems. Would stay again when back in the area

A Night at the Doubletree

A Night at the Doubletree

We used Hilton points to pay for our oceanside room with a nice view of the beach and the hotel pool, below our balcony.

The place was well kept up and the staff was friendly. We asked at the front desk for a dinner recommendation and were referred to the same restaurant that a friend had mentioned (Grills) and it was a great meal.
