Watch Out, They Will Cheat You

I had stayed at the Maile Sky Court for many years when Outriggar ran it as a Ohana hotel. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They would give me a upgrade at a discount. Last September I stayed there after Castle took it over. I had booked a partial ocean view room. What they attempted to give me was a city view room. When I complained the manager became very rude but ultimately changed me to a partial ocean view room, what appeared to be the same room from their web page. The year before I stayed at another of their properties and was given a room that was not what I had reserved. The excuse, I was staying too long. I had become extremely ill from the person sitting next to me on the plane so I stayed. I have found a much better hotel for a little more and am staying there from now on. Its right on the beach.

This was an excellent hotel for those traveling on a budget, and who don't want to stay in a "rat-trap." Like other reviewers before me, I found the staff to be super friendly and accommodating! The hotel was very quiet, and well-maintained (as far as cleanliness). I had an awesome view out of my 38th floor window. Also, the elevators were not problematic and ran frequently....even when leaving my high floor!!
My only complaints are that the lobby furniture should be replaced, the rooms were a bit spartan, and the t.v. was old......All of these are minor compared to the overall picture. I would stay there again, if on a budget...or if I got a killer price like this visit!!!!!

I had read mostly positive reviews from fellow travelers. I was pleasantly pleased to find the hotel was a good fit for my budget and expectations. The most often negative mentioned in other reviews was very slow elevators. I had a room on the 27th floor, and had no problem whatsoever on the multiple times I used them. The room was clean, a bit small, but comfortable.

Great location, at the west end of Waikiki, close to Ala Moana and the beaches, public transport. Room was clean and comfortable, pool & spa to relax in after a long day, bar & restaurant on site. Staff was very nice and responsive. Enjoyed it a lot.
