Description: This was the hotel that was included in our package deal with TWA on our first trip to Hawaii. We were first struck by the beauty of the open air lobby. We asked at the counter if there were rooms with refridgerators and they offered us a larger room with a kitchenette for $20/night more (a studio style room). We accepted the offer and recommend it. It was not a resort, but we were still pleased with the accommodations. Our room was on the 33 floor facing Diamond Head mountain and we had a fantastic view of Waikiki and Diamond Head. It also had a TGIF restaurant in it which we enjoyed eating at. And, of course, an ABC store right across the street.
It was a couple long blocks from Waikiki beach, but it was a very pretty walk through Fort DeRussey park to the beach. It's location may not be the best (off the beach and towards the northern end of Waikiki), but it is a good value.
