Description: Big comfy double beds, private bathroom, continental breakfast (donuts and coffee!! - which continent???) and erratic maid service. Oh, and a small outdoor (meant to be heated although we didn't test it out) pool. Our room was really quite nice for the price, althought the staff were really not all that friendly. With the exception of the Youth Hostel, this was the cheapest place we found in Monterey, and for the price we were pretty happy with it. Most of the motels are located along North Fremont St, and although it's a wee bit out of town, the buses are regular and cheap, so it's not a huge inconvenience. Also there's a supermarket and a couple of cheap places to eat close by. There are plenty of other similarly priced motels that are along this street.
