Don't Stay Near The Pool If You Want Some Sleep!

The room was very nice but --so-- noisy we got only about 6 hours sleep. The noise stopped after midnight and started again at 7:00 am. The hotel staff did not react to our complaints.
The hotel put us in a room near the pool. They failed to tell us that "a room near the pool" means:
(1) the room is not on a corridor... it is essentially on a loud echoing lobby through which hundreds of people pass on hard tiles (not carpeted floors). (Apparently there was a prom there that night.) They called across the large space to other folks on the other side. They played soccer in the central space. They sat and made cell phone calls on the steps outside our door. They walked by on the hard tiles clacking high-heeled shoes, and the laundry carts started rolling at 7:00 am. Also around 7:30 am the pool poles start dropping to the ground. From our room, you could hear all of this for hours!
(2) It also mean that the room has no "real" window... ie a window on the outside world. Instead its one "window" looks out on the passing throngs in the "lobby" area into which the room opens. Therefore, if you want ANY privacy at all, you can't open your curtain.
Finally the hotel has a "We'll make it right" policy in which they promise to not charge you when they don't meet your standard of service. Unfortunately... they don't make it right and they DO CHARGE you. In our case they claimed they got no noise complaints from us, although we called the front desk several times.

Made reservation under CLC card. Gave Business name. Upon arrival a copy was made of "CLC". Checked bill upon check out. After receiving AmEX bill additional $307.50 was applied. Was not given CLC rate. Holiday Inn refuses to adjust bill according to CLC guidelines.
Said this was not their billing error????

I stayed here on business and enjoyed the hotel. As it happened, it was a muggy, very hot day - but the air conditioning inside was just right. There are swimming pools indoors and outdoors - I didn't try the indoor one, although it looked fine. I went in the outdoor pool, and it was quite nice. I ordered a sandwich from room service at around 3 in the afternoon. At that hour, they probably don't have a lot of activity in the kitchen. So I wasn't surprised that it took a little while for the food to arrive - maybe 10 or 15 minutes at the most. What was surprising is that the chef delivered the food to my room himself, apologized profusely for the delay, and said my order was on the house - he wouldn't even accept a tip! Overall, great service, clean rooms, good price - I will definitely stay here again.

I have read the reviews and I just had to respond to those Guests. This Hotel is great. It is very close to the Saratoga Area and you wont spend $* dollars a night like you would in Saratoga. Check In was a blast. The staff at the Hotel is overly Friendly and you can tell that they love their jobs. The Food in the Restaurant is over the top. Service in the Restaurant was a tad slow but the staff made up for it. My rooms were clean and well stocked. We had 4 rooms with 3 or 4 people (families) in each room. If I needed something, Linda was there in a heart beat taking care of my families needs. The bed and Pillows in the room were basic pillows. Of course some people will have problems with them because they are not your own. If every hotel catered to each persons individual needs by providing pick up of your personal pillows and the mattress off your bed, they would be out of business. To make a long story short, Holiday Inn on Wolf Road, you did a great job during our stay and we will be back next year. Thank you for taking care of us. You remember the guests that were chasing the kids in the lobby all weekend long, that was us.
