My husband and I often take a Saturday night and head up to Prescott as a little getaway. We spend the day hitting the shops, antique stores and saloons. It's a blast. At the end of the night we are able to just walk a short distance to the end of the block to our hotel to retire for the evening. Since we are usually coming from our favorite saloon, The Palace, we hardly notice the less than comfortable bed. So the hotel isn't five class. I'm over it. It reminds me of the boutique hotels you find in Paris. It's quaint, old and charming. The breakfast in the morning is always delicious and even more so since they give you a certificate for us to use down in their restaurant for staying with them. If you're not too pretentious...this just may be the best spot for your little getaway.

I stayed only one night and that was enough!! The room was tiny the carpet was stained and dirty it was coming away from the wall. The bed had 2 top sheets that did not fit the beds, the pillowcases had hair on them. The bed was a double bed for 2 people and hard!! There was no hot water in the morning and I complained twice. The first time I was told to wait 20 minutes as there was only one boiler for the whole hotel and everyone was using the hot water at that time!! The second time I was told maintinance would come up and have a look........I am still waiting. The only saving grace was the cooked to order breakfast, other than that I would never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I loved the Hotel St. Michael, even our haunted room! Our room overlooked the lush County Courthouse lawn, and fine food and drink is only steps away. A lamp turned on by itself in our room the last night of our stay, we had never touched the lamp! Still, one of the best experiences I've ever had.

not so great

I'm not sure where all these other people stayed. The room we got was tiny, floor crooked, bed sitting on the floor, wall paper falling off the wall, etc. Not a great experience. I'm looking for another place to stay for an up coming visit and will not even consider the St. Michael.
