Stayed for a week in August and was very impressed.....Clean, smoke free, efficient A/C, prompt room service.....Bathroom is small, but for one person, (or even two), who cares?....Fast elevators and the food was very good.....Friendly dealers....And right on Fremont St, which is where I wanted to be.....I certainly would go back.....

My husband & I stayed here for our 30th anniversary. First time in Vegas and we were very pleased with the 4 Queens. From the front desk on we were treated great. The room was roomy and clean and the bed was the most comfortable that I have ever slept in away from home. Housekeeping staff always had the room in great shape when we returned from a day of sightseeing. Room service had great food and fast service. The Magnolia Cafe has very good food. Our room was on the 5th floor in the North Tower which is under the canopy of the light show for the Fremont Street experience. It was absolutely awesome. We didn't even have to leave our room to enjoy the show. The hotel even though it was fully booked was quiet. When we return to Vegas we will be staying at the 4 Queens again.

Birthday getaway

I took my wife to Vegas for a birthday weekend getaway and we had settled on staying up at the Fremont St part of town rather than the Strip. No regrets at all on selecting the Four Queens as our "base camp". Not too far a drive (distance-wise) to get onto the main part of the Strip for the show we went to see (KA at the MGM) if you don't mind the gridlock along the Strip and Koval. The only negative things about our room were that we had requested a non-smoking king room and we got a smoking king room instead, and the TV channel selection was pretty minimal --- even dismal. Oh and the in-room coffee supplies were inconsistently topped up. Now the smoking /non-smoking thing : we could have, and in hindsight SHOULD have, gone back down to the check-in desk and had our room changed, but we didn't so we can't whine too much I guess. By the end of the third night there, all of our clothes had absorbed the smoky smell so I knew we were in for a lot of laundry when we got home. So far as the TV channel selection, I know people don't go to Vegas to watch TV, but you've gotta return to your room and unwind/rewind sometime, and it's only natural to want to flick on the tube during these brief visits to your room... We checked out some of the other local establishments of course --- Fremonts Hotel&Casino have a great weekend brunch buffet for $11pp, Golden Nugget have an excellent pool area with a water slide that runs through an aquarium. All in all, excellent value for money.

Very Pleasant

We stayed in a regular room, and all the rooms here have been refurbished. They are really nice sized rooms, and all have HD Flat screen TV's, and all have a coffeemaker in the room, which is a HUGE plus. A tip, though, the tap water is not very good, so get water bottles from the casino, and make your coffee with that - it will make a big, big difference in the taste. The bathroom is rather small, but certainly functional, and we were pleased with the cleanliness. We were in an odd numbered room on the 8th floor of the South Tower, which I thought was the preferred place, but you can still boogie to the show outside until after midnight. Magnolia's has great specials with a player's card and decent food. The slot machines were ok - not too tight, but not quite loose enough either! (Are they ever?) Drink service is pretty good here, and other staff are very nice, especially bellhops. Give it a try.

good room and nice casino

the room was very clean and had a very comfortable bed...no problems with the room at all, front desk very nice.......the casino was comfortable except most of the dealers were not very friendly, in fact they seemed depressed just being there! also, unless you are a "big roller" spending a lot of money you have to pratically beg for perks, something which i won't do but others did just to get a free meal.....its a great location and from what i saw downtown the best value for the money! i'll be there again this year!
