The Inn at Ellis Square was very convenient to most tourist attractions and within walking distance to City Market, River Street and The Lady and Sons. I booked the trip for me and a friend and she just kept saying "you did good". The hotel was very nice, we had our own back entrance and only had to go thru the lobby when we wanted. The breakfast that was sreved every morning was more than your ordinary continental breakfast. We had scrambled eggs and sausage also you could prepare your own waffles and there were the usual cold cereal, fruit, toast. On our last day our flight was not until 4PM and there was a room in the lobby where they locked up our luggage until we needed it, leaving us free to take one more stroll down to River Street and have a glass of sweet tea. I would definetly stay there again and look forward to going back to beautiful Savannah.

My husband and I spent a few days in Savannah in April. I had stayed at the Inn at Ellis Square last fall with my mom and really enjoyed it.
The hotel's location is perfect! You are right across the street from the River Walk, a few blocks from The Lady and Sons and right around the corner from the City Market.
Parking is easy with the garage right there at the hotel entrance. Coming and going is easy with the pass they supply you.
The first time at the Inn my mom and I stayed in a 2 queen bed guest room. Next time I went for one of their suites. The beds are comfortable and the room was reallly nice and clean. Let me tell you about the suites. Our king bed was wonderful and the separate living room had a sofa and TV. We enjoyed our small refrigerator and microwave.
Each morning we enjoyed our deluxe continental breakfast.
Last of all, I found the staff to be very professional but friendly, very helpful and happy.
I'm making a trip back this month. Of course, my mom, sister and I are staying at the Inn at Ellis Square.
Great location, great staff and great price.
Not So Good

Not such a great experience. Upon arrival, found the lobby was overun with running, screaming Girl Scouts that were slamming into people. There was no key in the in-room safe and we were told that they had to bring the key up to us. One was never delivered for the entire weekend. The blankets looked like they had been attacked by giant moths and the room gave the general impression of being dirty, even though it was for the most part clean. The complimentary breakfast was not very good and again, there was no attempt to police the dining room so the Girl Scouts were out of control there to, including running around the dining area in bare feet. Thank goodness the bikers arrived on Saturday - they were a lot more well behaved than the Girl Scouts. On the whole, for the money paid there are nicer, cleaner, quieter and more picturesque places to stay.

Travelers beware this hotel is one of the most dishonest I ever met. They charged us two nights in a hotel on nights we never stayed at. I strongly recommend you choose another hotel if your visiting Savannah and if your newly wed couple like us looking for a place for a honeymoon don't go because they will ruin your honeymoon and rip you off. Please note this is not a attack on all Days Inn Hotels chain just this one. Can prove what I am saying is true
