It's a good hotel for families or a friends getaway, but I wouldn't recommend it for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. The rooms come with a kitchen which is pretty convenient. You can buy groceries and cook (the food in Waikiki is pretty expensive and/or mediocre). (Please note that the cleaning staff do not take care of the dirty dishes - you will have to wash them yourself). I slept on the fold-out bed which was pretty crappy but the regular beds seemed fine. If decor matters to you, the furniture does look outdated and run down, but the point is to venture outside on the beach, not stay indoors. There is a pool, two jacuzzis, a tennis court, a little playground on the sixth floor along with a snack bar that also has a variety of meals you can order if you're too lazy to go outside. The rec area is open until 9pm. The snack bar and mini-mart on the ground floor are your only options for food in the hotel. However, there are plenty of restaurants in the area. There is a concierge from 8am-5pm with whom you could book your excursions. My one complaint would be the elevators. They can take a really long time. One was being revamped, one frequently broke down so there would be two elevators for 37 floors. Once I waited 15 minutes for an elevator. The cleaning staff also use the same elevators (there is no freight/employee elevator). Just expect that when you go, and have fun!

This place is a great deal for the money, you can walk to EVERYTHING!!!!!!!Waikiki beach is just a block away!!!!!!You can go to the Food Pantry, and get all the food you need to cook. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you will need to cook from burgers to pasta, even the strainer is there. Great for when you have a family. I stayed there with three teenagers and an 11 year old and we had a rollaway bed put in and they did not charge me extra. They are extremely courteous and maid service is excellent, not a single bug. Can't wait to go back.
Ready to go back.

Had a great time, the rooms were spacious. We had a city view corner unit which turned out to have a full ocean view from balcony. There were two adults and our three daughters ages 11,13, and 15. The kitchen was very useful everything one would need. Very short walk to beach, bus line and abc store, ha ha ha.(theyre everywhere). Never had to wait more than a couple minutes for the elevator, never saw any bugs. Don't worry don't hurry and enjoy yourself. We did! Aloha

So far, in 3 trips to Oahu, this was the best hotel yet. Possibly it's because it's a timeshare/privately owned mix??? Great security. Beautiful lobby, nice desk personnel. Elevators were fine. Rooms clean, kitchen great, had great view of ocean and Waikiki walk along Kalakaua. Had sliding door open whole week with NO FLIES...has anyone but me noticed that Oahu has very few flies?
