One Night in Columbus OH

Stayed in the Sheraton Suites for one night while taking a quick family trip to Columbus, OH. Actually picked this Sheraton Suites based on its nearness to a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and our travel destination, and it accepted pets. Hotel was very nice. Not exactly cheap, but for a suite with two TVs in a nice location, it wasn't excessive.

Last minute same day reservation for weekend trip to Columbus, OH. I travel extensively and this was one of the nicest suite hotels I have stayed in. Rooms were well furnished, room service was good food and served quickly. Easy to find right off expressway (but quiet) located close to many nice restaurants and a cinema. Great location to base a stay in Columbus area.
Nice place but disappointed with stay.

My wife and I stayed here two nights while attending her son's wedding. The hotel was beautiful and the facilities were nice. It was very well decorated and the room, since it was a suite, was very impressive. However, the second night, a Saturday, we arrived back to the hotel around 1AM and after having to park on the fringe of the parking lot, I felt we'd be safe.
The next morning upon arriving at my truck, I found that it had been broken into and numerous items were missing, some of which were valuable items. I then found that the hotel has no monitoring of the parking lot either by person or video. This was disappointing since it is a very upscale hotel. Only the front door in monitored by video camera. Needless to say, we have never recovered any of the items lost.
The desk clerk was very attentive in taking my report for the hotel and putting me in touch with an automated phone line to file a police report but beyond that, acted like he could care less.
A very disappointing end to what should have been a nice weekend. Based on the lack of overall security, I couldn't recommend this hotel even though it's in what should have been an upscale and safe neighborhood.

Hotel is easy to find and near quite a few restaurants and other activities. Desk was efficient and helpful. Only problem was parking as hotel had an event going on.
