We stayed a Friday through Sunday and loved this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, room was beautiful, beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels loved that we have a microwave and refrigerator in our room. The front desk staff, all shifts, was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. We were close enough to walk to everything, i.e, City Market, River Street, city squares, etc. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

I like Hampton Inn and seek them out first in any US city I visit. I trust their consistency. This was my first trip to Savannah and since I didn't have much time to prepare, I went with who I knew. This particular Hampton Inn is perfectly located. I walked all over the historic district for the ten days I was there. I never felt unsafe, and everything I needed to see was within walking distance. The standard complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There was always coffee set up in the lobby, along with apples and bananas. Fresh cookies were served every afternoon and there was a cash bar for several hours in the evening. Although parking was across the street in a parking garage, everything was convenient. Restaurants were everywhere and shopping close by. City tour trams/buses even picked up outside the hotel. I will stay here again.
nice hotel, terrible parking

The hotel room was fine, and breakfast was good. You couldn't ask for a better location. However, I would never stay here again because of the terrible parking situation. We had to read her the details of our reservation, and thankfully, she was able to find us in the computer. Now for the parking issues--the awning you pull under to check in is very small; the front desk staff didn't tell us about all the parking procedures when we checked in. They encourage valet parking, but we wanted to self-park. We constantly had to ask questions about parking. The garage underneath is TINY. The cars in there are parked everywhere--even in the aisles. I wonder if this is where the valet parked cars are parked? I can imagine there are many dinged and scratched cars from the way they were parked. If the garage is full, you're supposed to park in the city garage across the street. However, one night, that garage was full too, and there was no other parking option given. We drove down the street and came back, and finally, a space had opened under the hotel. It made us scared to leave for fear that we wouldn't have a place to park when we got back. If you have to pay $10 a day for parking (not $8 as this site says), they should be able to guarantee you a parking space.
I'd stay there anytime

Stayed there for 4 days and was very happy. The staff was very willing to help with any question or concern, &. within walking distance of many places.. Very clean and very good breakfast. One nice thing was the breakfast was a little different each day. I feel it was worth the money, and would recommend it to anyone.
The only place we will stay when we visit.

You can not ask for the most perfect place to stay. The staff is the best. My family will not stay anywhere but here on our annual May visits.
