Disappointment

After driving across the country from CA to ILL I was looking forward to a nice quiet night in a room, room service and no more driving. Even though the site of the hotel mentions their restaurant it does not exist. If I had known this I probably would not have booked this hotel. I then had to go out to obtain a meal, the last thing I wanted to do after driving so many hours. I then discovered that the phone in my room did not work. A repairman turned up,could not figure out the problem and it was not repaired during my stay. When checking out and asked if i enjoyed my stay I provided the details of my disappointment,.....there was no response. I had to use my cell phone for all calls. When Icontacted the hotel via email all they would consider offering me was a discount on my next stay. Why would i want to stay there again. I paid 100% of the fees and received 65% of the services promised.

Our room had a terrible leak and water was all over the floor. It took two nights to get a new room. The bathrooms are european style which is ok if you like having no countertop and enjoy leaving all of your belongings on the floor. There was just no room for anything! They also charged my card for items that they said were going to be complementary in light of the trouble that we had. There are a lot better places to stay for the money.

Great little hotel; very initmate with good service and comfortable rooms. They do not have alot of amenities ie, pool spa and such but a nice room in a terrific location.

Bad Service

The hotel is nice, but the service is terrible once you get past the front door. The concierge not only seemed like she had much better things to do, but double booked us for events. She later talked us into a mother daughter spa day which was a disaster. It was * bucks to go to their "spa" where they outsource the services. Nothing like putting your feet in a bucket of water while you sit in an office chair from the business center! There was nothing remotely spa like about the experience. Additionally when we showed up on time for our "spa" appointment, no one was there. Later, at night we would put our breakfast order on the door hanger; we never once got breakfast! The only people in the whole place that will help you or listen to you are the bell boys and doormen. I would not recommend going past the front door of this place!

Nice Location

Was very difficult to get anyone to answer then phone at front desk. Grand Suite was nice, but nothing spectacular. Toilet didn't work right and finally clogged up. Location was wonderful and easy to get to. Hotel still under construction and new, so maybe they will work their kinks out! Hallways have an odor. Maids were extremely nice!
