20-yrs ago, I suspect that this resort was nice.
Now, it is out-dated, shabby & badly maintained.
The $3.99 resort fee is bogus, since we never used any of the supposed 'amenities' that this 'fee' covered.
The suite always smelled musty & moldy.
The ceiling in the dining room was patched & discolored; placemats that were provided were dirty; the kitchen light fixture stopped working halfway through our stay & we had to buy our own coffee filters for the coffee maker.
Master Suite: there was a creepy piece of foam on top of the mattress that didn't even completely cover the mattress beneath; the towels smelled stale & unclean; the shower leaked all over the floor & the shower curb was cracked; the hot water ran out before the whirlpool tub was filled completely; the surface of the vanity was peeling; the dresser drawers didn't work, nor did the closet doors, which were hanging off the track & could not be fixed, since the spring-loaded pins were completely missing.
Guest Rm: the dresser was scratched & shabby & the drawers didn't work properly; closet doors were hanging off their track & missing the spring-pin + they were badly scratched.
Guest Bath: the towels smelled stale & unclean; the toilet was dirty & there was a huge chip out of the tank lid; the tub/shower had a horrid plastic curtain that made it feel claustrophobic & cave-like.
Screened-in porch: we tried to enjoy this feature of the unit however, the floor was covered with moldy, musty carpet (making it impossible for me to practice my morning yoga outdoors - something I had looked forward to with this vacation); there were webs & mold everywhere & we had to clean off the outdoor furniture ourselves, as it was covered in filth.
Fitness Center: the machines were badly maintained & screeched like crazy; the sauna was broken. There was no coordinator for activities.
It should be noted that our stay at this property was a gift from family, who owns a timeshare with RCI. When RCI was contacted regarding the condition of our unit, we were told,
"... nothing can be done ... it's the holidays ... we are completely filled ..."
One excuse after another. So much for customer service.
