Great Deal for the Price

"I'm writing this review from my from at the Hotel Carmel. It's a tourist class hotel. The rooms are mission-style and fairly basic, but clean and the staff are friendly. For this price and location, it's a good deal. They regularly upgrade me to the next level of room when they have availability. You don't get a lot of amenities but it's comfortable and the best of Santa Monica lies at your doorstep."

My fiance and I stayed at Hotel Carmel for 2 nights. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. There is only one elevator in the hotel and took forever, our shower did not work, the rooms were very cluttered with furniture, we had to pay 12 dollors a day for valet parking and the people at the front desk at check out were very rude. We will never stay there again.
