An okay adventure

First off, the reservation people need some manners. When we called for directions the lady who answered gave us an attitude and said to check the web and hung up. The check in was smooth and friendly. The waterpark was very fun for my kids and us. However, we noticed that the photo shoot was not appropriate at a family water park. The hotel restaurant hostess was VERY rude when she asked for our meal ticket. And lastly the beach in front of the hotel was VERY clean. We appreciated that!!!!!

The reservation staff is just plain RUDE. The full kitchen didn't have a stove, the elevators did not have air conditioning, the hotel staff monopolized the elevators, the shower had hair on the wall, the tiles in the kitchen were falling off, our remote control to the TV didn't work, the pool staff continuely complained and cursed around a pool full of childred, the waterpark provided 8 towels for about 100 guests, and many other things space will not allow me to list. Hospitality... NOT AT THE SANDS RESORT!!!!!!!!!!!

My first stay at Sand Dunes was enjoyable. My two complaints are 1)black hairs left on the counters and toilet after room service had been in (YUCK!) and 2) don't stay out late..you won't get a park in the parking deck when you get back. Had to park twice across the road at the next resort. But the Waterpark is great..and so is the River Shak. Great Food, the bartenders need to smile more though.

Our stay was great. The room was very nice and our ocean view was awesome. The hotel staff was pleasant. Our only complaint would be the drain in our shower drained very slow and the pool was very cold. We would go back though! Very accommadating for us bikers!

Will be back!! 100% improvement from 2005. Service was fabulous, numerous food options,remodeled and CLEAN a wonderful surprise.
