Description: Best Things Nearby:
Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Petrified Forest/Painted Desert, and Arizona Snowbowl
Best Things About the Resort:
We had a private townhouse with a fireplace and great view.
Resort Experience:
The unit we had was a very nice two-bedroom, two-bath unit. When we walked into the unit, the first bedroom was to the left and two full beds and a bathroom. Upstairs was the living room with a big couch and a fireplace. The upstairs also housed the kitchen and dining room. The dining room sat six around the table, and there were also three bar seats. The exit of the dining room went to the upstairs balcony, which had a great view of the Arizona Snowbowl.
Downstairs was the master bedroom and bathroom. The master bedroom had a king-size bed and a small futon chair that our daughter slept on. The master bedroom had a private balcony also overlooking the Arizona Snowbowl. The master bathroom was almost two rooms. The vanity was huge, and there was a marvelous Jacuzzi tub.
We had a problem getting the fireplace started, but we called maintenance, and they were there within minutes to come and change the pilot light. We didn't have any other problems throughout our stay.
The resort is on a golf course, and the course was outstanding. There is a restaurant in the club house, and resort guests get a dinner discount. Fairfield Flagstaff had several excursions available to go to the Grand Canyon and Red Rock Canyon; we, however, did not take advantage of the tours and just went by ourselves. There was skiing within 10 miles of the resort, and while we were there, they had a snowfall of several inches.
Overall, the resort was excellent, and we cannot wait until we can go back for a longer vacation.
