my husband and I spent our honeymoon in key west
key west is not known for beaches or any beaches actually
it is known for having a decent coral reef
and getting people drunk
we liked our stay in sheraton even though is far from duval street where there is all the excitement but there is a free shuttle but it only comes every one hour and you have to make reservation to get in the shuttle and you have to know what time you are taking the shuttle back which is annoying because if you are coming for a vacation how are you supposed to know what time you want to go back to the hotel?? so we rented a scooter which it turned out to be the best thing we did cause its cheap on gas and there is parking for it everywhere you go

My husband and I had a Great Time in Key West. The hotel was very nice and very helpful. We had a quiet stay, no trouble at all. The Key West locals are very friendly. At the hotel there is a concierge out in the lobby that will help you plan/schedule activities while you are there. My recommendation is to get there in the morning to do this, as spots fill up quickly. The good thing about this hotel is that there is a beach right across the street aswell as a beautiful pool in the center of the hotel. The bad thing about where this hotel is located is that you will have to either walk-drive-take a taxi-rent a bicycle/scooter to get where you need to go. Everything is downtown(with the exception of a few restaurants near by) so be prepared to get there some how. We rented bicycles from the hotel(they also offer scooters)but the great thing about the bicycles is that you can park them anywhere-they come w/ their own lock and there are so many bike racks that there is no hassle finding parking. Hope this helps and oh, make sure to bring that sunscreen.

We stayed at the Sheraton on a family vacation. What a lovely experience! Would recommend to anyone that is going to Key West with family. There's a beautiful beach across the street, a wonderful pool with live music during the afternoon hours, a nice restaurant with inside and outside seating, and it's a short drive to downtown. We captured a little of everything that is Key West while staying here. Can't wait to go back again!

The rooms were spacious, bathroom updated, and the landscape was beautiful. The carpet was stained and intially shower pressure was low, but was immediately fixed when notified. Front desk clerks were friendly and very helpful. The service in the restaurant area was below standard, due to rude staff. The shuttle service was great, but could run every 30 min to better service customers. Overall we had a great experience and would stay again.

All 3 of us would recommend this hotel to those seeking a quiet location near a great beach. Very little traffic, free shuttle service to Duval, although they started issuing tickets which made it less convenient, too much pre-planning for us.
We were disappointed that there wasn't a balcony, as from the pictures we viewed when making the reservation led us to believe we would have one and we were puzzled by the lack of towel bars to hang towels, but that was a minor issue for us.
Great spa amenities and the food was great...
