Stratosphere Dining

My husband and I and newlywed friends ate at the Top of the World in the Stratosphere. The price is waaaay too high for the quality of good. You also get offered pictures, which are again waaaay to expensive. Quality is good, but if you have your own camera, grab someone to take a pic instead. The view though....well, that is just AWESOME! It is like the Space Needle in Seattle, which also offers extraordinary views, but there is really nothing like the view you get in Las Vegas.

It was good!!!

Though I was a on a tight schedule while in Vegas and did not get much time to spend in the Hotel, but I liked the ambiance and the things you can do, while you are there. Most importantly you can take the rides on the tower and have your photographs clicked on the tallest tower in Vegas, overlooking the entire city. The tower is the best thing in the hotel. Though it is not recommended for people who don't own a means to travel, as it's on the other end of the strip. But if you can walk, stop thinking and start walking. The room was spacious. But the thing that they could have provided free is the Internet. I had to pay for it. That's a deterrent. But overall, I liked the hotel and would recommend it.

5-30-09 traveled to Las Vegas and stayed at the Stratosphere. We enjoyed it very much except that at this time of year, a lot of younger partying people were running the halls and seemed to vomit in the hallway, unfortunately right outside of our door and then the elevator we used down the hallway! Other than that, we had a nice experience. The Top of the World restaurant was ridiculously expensive but the food was VERY good and the view was spectacular, especially seeing the sunset. The staff were friendly but the ones selling you on seeing Tahiti Village were absolutely annoying because EVERY time you passed by they tried to talk to you even after you had told that same person NO each and every time. Overall, we would stay there again but definitely upgrade our room to a better view than the 10th floor.

This is the third time that I have stayed here and I am very happy and there is plenty to do.

Good price however...

Nice rooms, comfy beds. It's fun to go to top of tower and ride the 3 rides that they offer. Free drinks while you play! Retail shops on second floor. Variety of restaurants and offers one bar. Downfalls are is that it is far away from the main casinos (Cesars, MGM, Bellagio...) than expected. There are rarly any winners at the casino. It was a good price for a short trip. On next trip to Vegas will proabably stay elsewhere closer to where the party's at, and visit the stratosphere to enjoy the view.
