Hotel Andra - perfect downtown Seattle hotel

Perfect spot for a weekend of downtown shopping. Its about 4 blocks from everything. They had wonderfully fast valet parking ($30 per day) and the rooms were clean, stylish and comfortable. The pictures I found on-line were true to life. We were kindly offered early check-in at 11:30 and check out is 1:00 - how accomodating!!! Would have loved a continental nibble in the morning, but none was provided. Thank goodness for corner grocery store (1 block away) and bakery accross the street, really good scones!
Come on in, you won't be disappointed.

This is a nice boutique hotel. Very nicely appointed rooms that lean toward a modern style. They are roomy and comfortable and include a large flat panel TV and nice bar. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even went out of their way to help out. Valet parking was included in my room rate. I don't know if that is a standard deal, but it was nice not to have that tacked on after booking. Don't expect sweeping views of the city. It is an older 11 or 10 story building surrounded by newer high rises. But don't let that dissuade you the hotels location is an easy walk to the shopping district and Pike Place Market. Lots to see. There are restaurants galore to choose from, and a small market just across the street at the end of the block, should you choose to buy a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers and just hang out in the room.
All in all a great value and a pleasant surprise.
anniversary trip

My husband iIstayed at the Hotel Andra for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. Even though I am not a big fan of contemporary decor iIloved this hotel. The beds and pillows were so comfortable.. The room was small but bright and airey. A wonderful flat screen TV adorns the wall. The bathroom are small but very nice. The best part of the hotel is the fabulous restaraunt Lolas that is right next door. Although pricey their breakfast is to die for! Dinners aren't too bad either. We also liked the location ..walking distance to Pikes Market and the 5th ave, shops. We would stay there again for sure
Magical Getaway

From our very first contact with Hotel Andra, asking for (and graciously receiving) a very early check-in, our expectations were exceeded in every category. The staff was professional, helpful, humorous, and courteous, the location was stellar- right in the heart of downtown shopping, the decor was the epitome of quirky, understated elegance (even the elevators were beautiful!), and best of all, the beds were glorious. Andra is hip without being pretentious, upscale without being stuffy, and luxurious without being ostentatious. The overall vibe is warm and welcoming, and we felt totally pampered at every turn.
The little restaurant, Lola, was spectacular, as was the Dahlia Bakery and Ralph's Market, all on the same block as the hotel.
We have had very enjoyable stays at a number of nice hotels in Seattle (Alexis, Mayflower, etc.), but Hotel Andra is the hands down winner for us. Our kids never want to go anywhere else. Thank you, Hotel Andra, for making my husband's fiftieth birthday much less painful than we anticipated! We can't wait to come back.
