I stayed here for a weekend with my kids on the advice of my realtor. I was interested in purchasing a unit so I could come and stay anytime, and rent it out when my family was not using it. X suggested before I do to stay a couple of nights to see what the place was like. It does get quite crowded in the winter and the skiiing is right outside the door with lockers for the equipment when we were done. It was nice to have the kitchen so we didn't have to go out for all our meals. We had breakfast in, skiied, came back to the room for lunch, skiied all afternoon then came back again, showered and went out to the George Inn for a nice, family-priced meal. Another night we ate dinner in the room and went back for night skiiing. We got a lot of skiing in, as that was what we were there to do!
The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, there was wireless internet available, and the kids watched movies at night while I was able to get some work done on my laptop. My wife sat by the fire reading. Our room had a deck overlooking the slopes which was fun to watch the skiiers coming down.
I would recommend this hotel to others coming for a weekend or a bit longer. I understand the water park in the summer is also a big draw.

I booked with the Mountain Creek Website for President's Day Weekend. We got a 2 bedroom condo and 20% off total price because my son is a season pass holder. Check in was very simple and easy at the Appalachian Hotel located on the bottom of Mountain Creek Ski Resort. The accommodations were awesome. The condo was immaculate and very up to date. The living room had a nice gas fireplace and pull out sofa. Full kitchen so we were able to cook our dinners after a long day of skiing. The bedrooms were spacious and roomy. There were two bathrooms and a washer and dryer which came in very handy. What we loved best was that there was an outdoor hot tub that could fit about 40 people in it and an outdoor pool that was almost as warm as the tub - awesome since it was 20 degrees outside and snow all around. There was a shuttle that brought us back and forth to the ski resort. It was an excellent weekend and would definitely go back!
