Comfortable and updated next to Convention Center

Great value - short walking distance to the convention center at a much better price than other hotels in hte same location. The property is fully updated, beds are super-comfortable, and the free breakfast is fairly extensive. The pool is small and not really appealing, but everything else was great. Would definitely return and recommend.

The hotel does not have a bar. I thought that was strange that my husband couldn't even get a beer! The breakfast was not very good. We had to leave the 2nd night and go to another hotel at 2:00 a.m. because the fire alarm kept going off and they could not fix it!! Other than that, our room was quiet and the bed was comforable It is close to some good restaurants like p.f. changs

Wasn't expecting this clean, modern feel for a Hampton Inn and was very pleasantly surprised. Great location and decent complimentary breakfast.

Best in downtown

Hampton Inn is unmistakably the best lodging palace in downtown Austin. We find the hotel is at maximum 2 blocks away from the lake, bus routes, restaurants, the Warehouse district and the 6th St. The room was really clean and well maintained. Free internet access and printer is provided at the lobby. The complimentary breakfast is a 'memorable gift' to those who wish to have a full-fledged morning meal before touring the city. Overall, we recommend this hotel without reservation for Austin visitors whose concerns will be budget, location, transportation and breakfast. Bravo, we're impressed!

comfort in the center of town

i was very pleased with the comfort of the room and the attention to little things like firm and soft pillows in the room. be aware of the hidden cost of parking at the hotel (valet only and $15 a night). free high speed internet was great. it was within walking distance of many Austin staples downtown. the hip South Congress shopping strip is a short drive away. we didn't partake of the happy hour or the breakfast because we have our faves in Austin, but the option to have it was great.
