Hotel Manager Tells Me It's MY Fault...

Quote: My boyfriend called this the worst hotel he's ever stayed at. I'll make this simple: - I called them at 10pm, asking for directions from Hershey Park to the hotel. Simple? No. First, the woman gave me an attitude for asking. Then, she says, ""Take I-83, no, wait, I-81. No. Ummm. It's one of them... I don't know."" Then, she puts me on hold for 5 minutes only to give me extremely vague - and often incorrect directions (leaving out ""north"" or ""south,"" etc.) Needless to say, we got lost. - I was specific about having a non-smoking room. The sign on the door said no smoking. BUT, inside, there were cigarette butts on the window sill, an ashtray on the table, and it smelled as if someone were actually smoking in the... Read More

Decent Hotel Not Far from Hershey Park

Quote: The quality Inn in Harrisburg, PA was a decent place to stay for a family of 5. The rooms were not too big, but nothing fancy is needed when you're just looking for a place to sleep after a long day. We got a pretty decent rate...$95/night. The hotel is about 5 miles from Hershey Park. Hotel employees were helpful and prompt about our needs. The room looked pretty clean when we got there. The hotel provided a really nice free continental breakfast. They had cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, frozen waffles, frozen french toast, muffins, danish, boiled eggs, jelly, peanut butter, cream cheese and butter. Of course juice and coffee topped it all off. It was a darn good breakfast! The ants on the wall in the breakfast area grossed me... Read More

Nice Place to Stay Quality Inn Harrisburg PA

Quote: There are a ton of hotels to choose from near Hershey Park. I chose the Quality Inn in Harrisburg PA. It was about 5 miles from Hershey Park. We got a pretty decent rate for 2 adults and 3 kids...95.00 /night. The room was a little small, but certainly sufficient when all you need it for is to crash after a day at Hershey Park. The hotel provided breakfast in the morning. There was cereal, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, waffels, french toast, bananas, apples, and boiled eggs. There also was bread, jelly, peanut butter, cream cheese, and butter. Juice and coffee topped it off. It was a nice breakfast. The kids went downstairs in their pajamas. Then we all went back up to put on our suits and head out to the Park again. There were... Read More

Good hotel

Quote: We stayed here for 2 nights while going to Hershey Park and a concert. It was a decent hotel, we had holes in the wall but overall it was clean. The price was a bit high for the quality of the hotel, but it was summer and Hershey Park was nearby which drove up the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful, no complaints there. Overall a good, but not great hotel...would stay at again if the price was lower.
