Terrible value for price

Special trip -didn't mind spending $600/night for room because we had waited for over 30 years to make the trip. Walked into a "Holiday Inn" room - small, out-dated, with several things not working. Wall-paper glue all over BR walls, mirrored closet doors unslidable, uncomfortable bed, access to warm water took over 8 minutes for a shower, clock display not working, ceiling light in BR hanging, bugs in the BR sink, etc. Disappointed by poor response from management about our concerns voiced each day. They indicated that we had a "beautiful view" (yes it was), and that they had "special room deodorizer" which contributed to the value of the room. Phone calls to corporate gained us a one day only $75 refund. Did see other rooms that were beautiful, but we weren't offered a change of room until 1 1/2 days prior to leaving. Plan to return to Maui, but not to this hotel. Will never trust the Hyatt Regency name again.

First thing you notice is how the atrium is open air. It's just plain relaxing and inviting with many area's to just kick back and enjoy a latte. The rooms are well appointed but you should spend too much time in them! The pool area is second to none and to top it off the resort is right on the beach. You can even take a scuba lesson in the hotel pool then head out to sea with a pro and glide with the sea turtles. A really magical place.

Awesome Hawaii Experience

Last Christmas we took our family to the Hyatt Hotel in Maui. We only have GREAT things to say not only about the hotel, our experience but the awesome hotel staff. My son was 5 years old at the time and we were concerned that he woul'nt have enough things to do. We put him in the kid's club and after the first day my son begged to go back :) The camp counselors were awesome..I can't say enough great things about them. We had Christmas at the hotel ..we were impressed by the activities provided for the kids. We go to Maui every year..sometimes twice a year..stay on the Kanapalli side..and really love it. We were trying out all of the hotels but now know that our annual vacation/tradition will be Christmas at the Hyatt. We look everyday online for that great bargain..just waiting to hit the "BUY" button..oh yeah..I booked everything on the travel website..had a great experience..no regrets.

The hotel was beautiful. Everything was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The pool was amazing. The rooms are very spacous and comfortable. The only thing that was a negative was the price of the food inside the hotel. Most of the time we ate outside the hotel. All in all I would definetly stay at the hyatt again and would recommend it to anyone.

Our Honeymoon vacation at the Hyatt

This hotel was incredible and HUGE! It had a big garden with tons of animals and a nice big pool! Everything was accessible and great! The only thing I didn't like is that there is a resort fee of $* per day to use the facilities, which should be free for how much you spend on the rooms. Besides that, our stay was great!
