Me & a friend stayed at this hotel 2 nites and I must say it wasnt all that bad. This place is located in the river district off the 5 freeway. It is secluded and within walking distance of downtown and old town Sacramento. The breakfast wasn't all too varied but ok. For those that like to take a morning walk there's Discovery park in back of this place. Beds were comfortable and everything was in running order plus the staff was exceptional. I would definitly return here on a future trip

price was right but......

ameneties promised were not provided.(i.e. high speed internet and fridge). the room was clean but the blankets were shabby. i chose this motel for the price and location, which was convenient but will spend more or be a little inconvenienced next time. i will not stay there again.

I was assigned this hotel after a cancelled flight. Due to the situation, and proximity to the airport, I resigned to tough it out. I wish I had taken the cab to a real hotel. This hotel is old, worn, and not worthy of the LaQuinta name. The window unit a/c ran all night making noise from a bad bearing, the beds sunk in the middle from age, the carpeting was laid over bare concrete with no pad, the linens were torn, worn and too old to be used. The only upside was it was no expense to me and there was free wireless. Only stay here if you don't have a car to sleep in.

We stayed for 2 nights and was surprised with the age of this hotel. It was pretty old. The building is well painted outside, but the rooms need work. Our room's carpet was not well vacuumed, since we found pet hair. The pool is clean, but is not heated. One of our drapes was missing. The staff was nice. We left feed back with the staff in hope that they would improve facilities. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. I have seen better breakfasts at other La Quintas. If they improve the areas we told them about, we would be back.

We had a paid and confirmed reservation for a non smoking room with a king size bed. At registration we were told that no non smoking rooms with king size beds were available. They told us that we should call the hotel directly to check on availability. My wife and I were given a room with two full size beds. Very bad. Ranjan Gunasekera
