Enjoyed our stay at the Seneca

This was our second visit to the Seneca. On both stays we were most pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rooms and the spaciousness. We did not have children but it would be ideal for a family. Many options are available. The kitchen is fully equipped. You could easily cook meals on an extended stay. The location is perfect...The Cheesecake factory is right next door. Water Tower Shopping right across the street. We walked five blocks to catch the Red Line to Wrigley Field. Perfect transportation. On each visit the staff has been phenomenal. They are so friendly. Also you will enjoy eating at any of the restaurants that are a part of the Seneca Hotel. We think this is a great deal for the price. The location, once again, is perfect. It would be great when it is cold and windy!!!

Great price and location

This hotel was great to stay in. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to our suite. We could not believe that we were staying in a suite for the price we were paying. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. It was easy to get to shopping on Michigan Ave., trolley rides, bus stop and other attractions. We (2 women) felt very safe walking back to the hotel even after dark. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to friends.

The Seneca Hotel was outstanding. The staff was courteous and professional. We had a one bedroon suite that was very spacious and comfortable. Hotel is near Michigan Ave but far enough away to be very quiet.

St. Patricks Weekend

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend of the St. Patricks day Parade. I found that the location was great. It is very close to Michigan Ave. and all the stores. A cab ride anywhere downtown is like 5 bucks. If you go to the museums though its more like 12-15 dollars for a cab ride and the museums are not very good. The room itself was smaller, but with a kitchenette which is great. The TV was small and the bathrooms were outdated but clean. It did have a jet tub for baths. The room smelled as if it were older, but clean. It took a while for the heat to kick on but worked great. The staff was great. The front desk gave me a number of a flourist before we came so I could have flowers waiting for my wife. Flowers were expensive, and I wanted them in my room waiting, but instead they were waiting at the fornt desk. This was because they dont gaurentee you a room until three o clock. The views from the room are not the greatest, but then again we didnt spend alot of time in the room. The doormen will flag a cab for you so you dont have too. All in all it was a good trip. I would stay here again becuase it was convienent, but a little pricey...mostly because of the weekend I picked. Hope this review helps...oh year if you fly into O'Hare, take the CTA blue Line to the Red Line and up to Chicago stop. You can get a cab from there to go to hotel or its a 7 minute walk. Its on the corner of Chicago and state streets and not far from the hotel.
