The Seneca Hotel is an incredible deal. Each room has kitchen facilities. In fact, our room had a full kitchen, dining area, living room and separate bed room with two double beds. It really was an apartment. The location could not have been better, just two short blocks from Michigan Avenue and "The Magnificent Mile". This was my second stay at the hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Chicago.

I go with a group of girls every year to Chicago..We have stayed at The Seneca Hotel three times now and would stay there again. The rooms are clean and very large, the beds are very comfortable. The Seneca is a great location. One block away from Michigan Ave and very close to Rush Street. We would indeed stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, professional, helpful. Cleaning done to high standards. Comfortable bed. Slept well, even away from home. The room had a stove, full frig, microwave, big sink, dishes and silverware for four, pots and pans, and coffeemaker. This made it possible to save money on meals. Trader Joe's nearby so groceries were easy to come by. The hotel is one block away from the Hancock Center and Water Tower Place. I spilled on my blouse and was happy to have laundry facilities available in the hotel. Hair salon and restaurants in the hotel. Only complaint: bathroom outlet not functioning. I liked the security. Room key required to get past the lobby. Would have been nice if a business center was available for guests with computers, printer, fax, copy machine. This was an excellent value. Will definitely stay here again next time I have to be in Chicago.

We arrived at the hotel at 2pm and found out the room we had originally booked was upgraded from one queensize bedroom to a three room suite. We had a kitchen, living room with tv, a large kingsize bedroom with tv and a large bathroom with two sinks, drawers, and a jetted tub. It was very clean and we also had three closets. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with hints of things to do. We also ate breakfast every morning at the hotel. They even had grits. The hotel is located one block off Michigan Avenue and two blooks from Lake Michigan. We would stay there again.

The location of The Seneca is great. It is a 5 minute walk to the shore, 20 minutes to The Navy Pier and just off The Miracle Mile shopping district. The staff at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well cleaned. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There were a few things that we found somewhat dissappointing or maybe odd. We had to pay to use the internet on a computer tucked away on the 2nd floor. It is an easy mod-con to have a computer or two in the lobby for guests, who don't travel with laptops. The plumbing was in serious need of updating. Whenever the toilet was flushed water came pouring out of the back pipes and the sink faucet also had a terrible leak. There were a lot of light switches that didn't seem to work any main lights. The decor was a bit old fashioned but, not enough to be considered retro. All in all, it was a nice stay in a place in need of new wiring, plumbing and general updating. We would probably stay there again at the right price.
