Good place for the price

We visited Chicago the weekend of the Chicago Marathon! With 40,000 runners, hotels and bargins were rare. The Amalfi proved to be a good, clean, 3 star hotel. It was comfortable and in a convenient location for us. While not ON the Magnif. Mile nor offering the 5-star amenities, it was a very nice place for the money. When you spend so little time in the room, why spend more? We did, however, wish that there had been a safe in the room.

What a great hotel. I had never been to Chicago before so I was skeptical about where to stay and I picked a winner. This hotel was clean, the staff was very pleasing, the complimentary breakfast and reception are great. We had 4 of ladies in a room and they made sure we all had our own robes and slippers. The bathroom was large enough for 4 women to share. It is on a quiet street but close enough to walk anyware. Beds are nice and the pillows are to die for. When I go back to Chicago I will stay here.

Cosy yet luxurious hotel in downtown Chicago within a few blocks of most top eateries. Delicious continental breakfast served on each floor every morning - incredibly convenient - just slip out in your robe and back to the room! Wonderful service - friendly, welcoming, pampering. Enjoyed a fantastic in-room massage - not to be missed.

Loved the hotel, felt more like having a doorman in an apartment building. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. You can walk to so many points of interest - a great walk around map would be helpful. Didn't discover Millenium Park til last afternoon.

Great value! You get a very nice continential breakfast, and a reception every evening with an open bar, and awesome italian appetizers. Beds are very soft, and linens are comfortable. The only downfall is the front desk. They need to be a little more cheerful. I would not reccomend small kids at this hotel though. There is no pool, and some guest might be annoyed by little guys running around.
