We are small town simple people and let me tell you that we felt totally spoiled at this hotel. Upon arrival at 8:30 a.m. we were able to check into our fabulous room early. The front desk was very helpful for out-of-towners. They had lots of suguesstions on great thing to do and had tickets for just about anything. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable for our group of four. The bathrooms were also very spacious with exceptionally nice shower/towels/Aveda toiletries. The flat screen tv and bar were nice bonuses. The pillowtop beds and feather pillows were more comfortable then ours at home and provided a great nights sleep. There wasn't much of a veiw out our north window on the third floor but hotel is literally two blocks away from the Mag Mile and one block from the river. We were treated with free continental breakfast each morning. No hot food but the choices were excellent. Also there was free coctails and drinks in the lounge from 5:30 to 7:30 each night. The business center had computer and printers available to help us with our online checking with the airport. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel and staff. If ever in Chicago again we will definately be staying at the Amalfi hotel no questions asked!
looooved it...

Two friends and i booked this hotel for a little vacation and absolutely loved it! The hotel is very nice and the rooms are great! rooms aren't huge but they're comfy. Two of the services the hotel offers are free continental breakfast on every floor and drinks from 5-7pm in the lounge. We didn't use the lounge but did get breakfast and even the breakfast was better than we expected. the staff at the hotel is amazing!! they're friendly and if you ask, can give you tips on anything and everything. The location of the hotel is great. Few blocks north you have michigan ave...few blocks south, the loop...few blocks the east, navy pier. Most tourists stay on michigan ave and it's super crowded there...here we didn't have to deal with the crowds but still had access to everything. also, if you want to party, there are some great clubs right around the hotel.
we loved the city and are definitely coming back....loved the hotel and would book it again!!!

As an older couple on a long Memorial Day holiday, we selected the hotel for the location and deal and were extrememly happy with the overall value. They provide a nice spread of breakfast breads and juice (though, I would have liked a boiled egg or some bacon or sausages for some protein), and the 5pm happy hour was a nice place to grab a drink and appetizers before we headed out for the evening. The quality of the food and drink was excellent, and you can't beat a price of "included with your room." The staff provided a lot of help, from making reservations, advising us on directions and giving us complimentary admission cards to some clubs. They were knowledgable and super-fast with anything we asked for.

Just returned yesterday. Really loved the hotel. Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable beds and the dual head shower was great. Continental breakfest was perfect to start the day. Exercise room we pretty good although the remote control for the TV was not around so cartoons got a little old.
Good boutique hotel

This hotel is in a good location with easy walking distance to Michigan avenue. The place was very nice with complimentary breakfast on each floor (juice, coffee, muffins, etc.) and nice happy hour every night (and not the cheap liquor either) with small cheese and coldcut buffet. Overall really nice for the money and quiet area
