My Wife and I have stayed at numerous hotels in chicago and this one is one of our favorites, however if you are looking for a view there will not be one. The hotel part of the buildingis only six stories. The rooms are somewhat small but the bathrooms are large and really nice. The managers party and continental breakfast are a plus. Cant beat location or value.

"The Amalfi Hotel Chicago is a luxury boutique hotel located in the River North District. This hotel offer customers a bit more then its competitors for the same price. My room was well designed and comfortable. If you like modern hotels this is the one for you. Here are some of the amenities: Pillow Top Mattresses, Complimentary breakfast on every floor, Complimentary Manager's Reception, In Room DVD/CD players, Aveda spa products in your room, Multi-Head Showers, Fully Stocked Honor Bar, Complimentary 24 Hour Fitness Center, Complimentary high-speed internet, spa robe and slippers."

Stayed at the Amalfi due to good reviews. Clean room but bed and towels could have been better quality. Avoid rooms ending in "22" as they are across from the ice maching. 6th floor is the highest floor (evening reception held there in a meeting room). Try the Amalfitini-- made with yummy limoncello. Park at the garage on State! Cheaper than valet.
