We are small town simple people and let me tell you that we felt totally spoiled at this hotel. Upon arrival at 8:30 a.m. we were able to check into our fabulous room early. The front desk was very helpful for out-of-towners. They had lots of suguesstions on great thing to do and had tickets for just about anything. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable for our group of four. The bathrooms were also very spacious with exceptionally nice shower/towels/Aveda toiletries. The flat screen tv and bar were nice bonuses. The pillowtop beds and feather pillows were more comfortable then ours at home and provided a great nights sleep. There wasn't much of a veiw out our north window on the third floor but hotel is literally two blocks away from the Mag Mile and one block from the river. We were treated with free continental breakfast each morning. No hot food but the choices were excellent. Also there was free coctails and drinks in the lounge from 5:30 to 7:30 each night. The business center had computer and printers available to help us with our online checking with the airport. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel and staff. If ever in Chicago again we will definately be staying at the Amalfi hotel no questions asked!

This hotel met our needs perfectly. It was clean, well located for walking anywhere downtown, safe, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful in giving us downtown walking directions, dining suggestions, and securing public transportation to and from the airport. The happy hour was also a great addition to the hotel services.

The hotel was very nice best features are the beds,pillows and location. Hotel staff were never mean but could have been more outgoing and friendly.Would stay here again.

Checked in by a very dull receptionist who needs a week at charm scholl but theresfter a trully great stay. Convenient, comfortable and good value, great bathrooms and Aveda toileteries. Enjoyed the complimentary evening cocktails. Will definitely return - hopefull soon!

My Wife and I have stayed at numerous hotels in chicago and this one is one of our favorites, however if you are looking for a view there will not be one. The hotel part of the buildingis only six stories. The rooms are somewhat small but the bathrooms are large and really nice. The managers party and continental breakfast are a plus. Cant beat location or value.
