I have detracted my wife from visiting Chicago for ten years and this year I decided to surprise her for her birthday with a trip to Chicago. I decided on Sofitel after reading many positive reviews of the hotel. From the first minute encounter with the Doorman all the way to the Room Delivery we received the hotel went above and beyond expectations. Very friendly staff and more than willing to go the "extra mile" to make your trip special. After checking in and finding out it was my wife's birthday, 30 minutes later we had a knock on our door with a complimentary birthday cake and two bottles of water.
The overall impression left us with any future trips being directed with the Sofitel Hotel.

THE WHOLE PLACE IS JUST AMAZING. I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER HOTEL IN CHICAGO EVER AGAIN. THE STAFF WAS THE BEST, AND SO NICE! THE RESTAURANT IS NICE BUT MAYBE A TAD BIT OVERPRICED FOR THE SERVING SIZE BUT THE FOOD IS RATHER TASTY (I just tried the desserts though). THE AREA AROUND THE HOTEL IS AMAZING TOO.

From the moment we arrived the service was outstading! The valet service was quick and efficient. Our suitcases arrived within 5 minutes of checking into the room. The person even when up a flight of stairs to fill our ice bucket.

"We arrived to Chicago at 8:30 AM and went to the hotel. The room was not ready, but they held our bags and called us at 11:45 to let us check in (way before 3). So nice and professional. Our bags were out of the cab b4 we even paid the driver. If in Chicago STAY HERE!"
